Darah McCray Okeke serves as Vice President, Associate General Counsel at Erickson Living, a leading developer and manager of retirement communities located in several states with over 20,000 residents and over 13,000 employees. In this role, Darah provides advice and counsel to her internal clients on a wide range of legal issues with a particular focus on labor and employment law matters, such as equal employment opportunity and anti-harassment, diversity and inclusion, wage and hour issues, medical leave and workplace accommodations, as well as related training, investigations, policy development, and litigation management.
Darah holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University and is an Honors graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law, where she was a Leadership Scholar and a member of the Maryland Law Review.
In addition to spending time with her family and reading a wide range of literature, Darah is passionate about public speaking, mentoring and advancing equal opportunity and access for all. She proudly serves on the board of directors of the Public Justice Center, a nonprofit legal advocacy organization whose mission is to pursue systemic change to build a just society.
