Mr. Elias serves as a General Counsel Director at Leidos counseling Leidos in all areas of intellectual property law including trade secrets, copyrights, trademarks and patents. Mr. Elias also counsels Leidos on intellectual property rights in government contracts based on the provisions in applicable acquisition regulation. Prior to being employed with Leidos, Mr. Elias worked for Lockheed Martin for 11 years where, in addition to the duties above, he performed extensive due diligence on the intellectual property portfolios of businesses and companies sold, acquired or merged with Lockheed Martin or in companies that were the subject of emerging technology investments by Lockheed Martin. Mr. Elias is admitted to the State Bar of California and the Virginia State Bar. He is also registered to practice as an attorney before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. He worked for a law firm Alexandria, Virginia prior to his employment with Lockheed Martin. He served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy for 9 years flying with the VS-32 Maulers and working in the intelligence community. He also worked as an engineer for Stanford Telecommunications specializing in the field of information superiority.
